Inventory Operations Specialist

Johnstone Supply is looking for an Inventory Operations Specialist for our New England Region(Massachusetts, Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire). This individual will play a key role in ensuring efficiency and accuracy while overseeing inventory processes and optimizing operations.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of Inventory Operations Specialist include, but are not limited to:

• Provide training and guidance to warehouse staff on inventory best practices and system usage
• Support the implementation of inventory management systems and processes
• Maintain SOPs for inventory handling and tracking
• Provide support and training for freight claims
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve inventory-related issues such as stock discrepancies and supplier discrepancies
• Monitor inventory levels, identify surplus, track discrepancies, and propose corrective measures
• Implement inventory control procedures to reduce shrinkage and maintain optimal stock levels
• Coordinate with warehouse and purchasing teams to align inventory management with demand forecasts
• Develop and implement warehouse, showroom layout, and staging areas
• Conduct regular inventory audits at branch locations to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
• Prepare detailed audit reports, presenting findings, and recommendations to management
• Train branch staff on RF related processes and best practices for managing inventory
• Assist in the implementation of new inventory systems and technology upgrades
• Train and test new hires on warehouse processes, equipment, and safety policies
• Review with branch staff all warehouse and inventory related reports, explain the action needed and provide action plans
• Recognize areas of opportunity in training and address how to improve efficiencies and performance

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in inventory operations, supply chain, or warehouse management
• Excellent communication, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of best practices in supply chain management
• Proficiency in inventory management software
• Strong problem-solving skills to drive operational improvements
• Ability to travel throughout the New England Region
  
  

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or related field
• Strong knowledge of Eclipse
