POSITION STATEMENT: Managers for Join Together Northern Nevada will manage one or more grants and programs. They will supervise staff and / or volunteers.
Essential Functions:
· Manage grant reports by providing high level written summaries and responses to activity reports.
· Schedule team meetings to complete grant openings, closings and spending plans.
· Manage fiscal compliance and grant assurances compliance.
· Manage the development of data tracking systems, recurring data tracking and collection of information.
· Supervise and manage staff and volunteers.
· Manage communication between and among team members.
· Manage and provide education and awareness training to small groups, individuals, and community members.
· Manage the delivery of information between and among the local partners, statewide partners, and state agencies; participating in email, phone calls and web meetings for assigned grants and projects.
· Manage discussion during regularly occurring committees associated with projects and develop activities appropriate to the plan.
· Manage delivery of programming activities.
· Work closely with fiscal staff to manage grant monies as required by extensive and detailed regulations.
· Manage the completion of recurring and annual narrative, quantitative, and fiscal reports associated with the projects.
· Report verbally and in writing on assessment and program implementation.
· Collect data and information on program and assist program delivery with resources and knowledge, including developing quality improvement monitoring.
· Provide, coordinate, and collect information on disparate populations and program needs.
· Provide information, knowledge and expertise to coworkers, community, and partners on community health, wellness, and prevention.
· Provide data and information to evaluators, state, federal government and local core team, utilizing data to ensure ongoing quality improvement.
· Plan, coordinate, schedule, and conduct community events and activities associated with projects.
· Provide oversight and supervision of project deliverables, engage coworkers and volunteers in activities, and lead others toward desired deliverables.
Level 2: Independently and continually –
· Manages multiple or large grants or programs independently
· Supervises staff, AmeriCorps, volunteers or interns independently
· Manages and resolves facilitated discussions independently
· Manages project team independently
· Represents Join Together Northern Nevada to state, funder, community; independently
· Manages report writing independently
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High level of knowledge in program management.
· Ability to learn, interpret, explain, and apply principles of program projects
· Ability to plan, implement and evaluate the achievement of goals, objectives and work plans.
· Ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
· Ability to supervise projects and coordinate collaboration among staff, volunteers, and partners.
· Knowledge of modern office methods, practices, procedures, computer equipment and common office software.
· Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
· Possession of current Nevada Driver’s License; ability and willingness to travel in/out of state; including by plane.
· Ability to pass a background check including drug / alcohol screening; appropriate to position requirements.
· Ability to maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities including the following -Walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods of time; operating assigned equipment
· Ability to utilize effective auditory and visual skills and have the perception needed for -Making observations; communicating with others; reading and writing; and operating assigned equipment.
· Ability to maintain mental capacity with the capability of -Making sound decisions; effectively interacting and communicating with others; and demonstrating intellectual capabilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Prefer Bachelor’s degree in specialty area or several years working directly in the field of expertise. Experience working on program delivery. Experience managing projects and people; and creating collaborations.
