[Full Remote] Junior UX Designer

The role of a Junior UX Designer at CanonicalWith Ubuntu, Canonical created the first Linux for human beings. We are looking for an exceptional user experience designer, who shares our passion.This role sits in the design team reporting to one of the UX design managers.Location : This role will be based remotely in the EMEA region.What will your day look likeJunior UX Designers at Canonical have a vital role in the success of Ubuntu, our partners, customers and the larger Ubuntu community. Clear, stylish presentation that aids the user experience of our products is how we raise the bar and reach the widest audience. Real content and information will be at the core of the designs you produce. You know the ins and outs of typography, colour and layout, and you care deeply about usability, accessibility and web standards. You should have agency, company or freelance design experience.What we are looking for in youExcellent academic results at school and universityBachelor’s or equivalent in User Experience, Design, or STEMKnowledge and passion for user experience, technology and designCommitment to continuous learning and improvement - curious, flexible, scientificDrive to finish work and celebrate successConfidence in user research practicesEngagement with the latest design research and innovationUX designers should be excellent communicators who are at ease working with a complex mix of engineers, designers and executives. They represent us at cross-functional company meetings and must present their design position with clarity and precision.
