We are seeking a full-time Patient Call Center Associate to join our team at JISF! The Patient Access/Call Center Associate will work in a fast-paced medical environment and be the first point of contact for patients within our organization. This crucial position collects patient information and schedules appointments with the appropriate practitioner.
Expectations include:
- Answering all incoming calls in a call center setting
- Process and schedule digital referrals
- Exercise utmost diplomacy and tact to provide excellent customer service for all callers
- Building rapport quickly with callers
- Collecting and verifying patient demographic information, billing, and insurance information
- Verifying and updating existing patient information
- Handle patient inquiries and help guide them to the right provider
- Schedule patients according to practitioner availability
- Educate callers on Practice’s Policies and Procedures
- Transfers calls to the correct department, as needed
- Work with coworkers to continuously ensure adequate phone coverage
- Abide by confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance with Practice’s Policies and HIPAA requirements.
- Exercise problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills when needed
Schedule: FULL TIME, Monday - Thursday, 7:50 am - 5 pm and Fridays 7:50 am – 3 pm (actual schedule may vary and depend on needs of department)

Preferred
- Previous Call Center and/ or customer service
- Ability to type a minimum of 30 WPM
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance plans
- Working knowledge of electronic medical records systems
