JOB DESCRIPTION
The annuity department is seeking an experienced Annuity Associate ‘B’ with excellent customer service skills. Under close supervision, reporting to Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor of Annuity, the Annuity Associate ‘B’ will be responsible for various duties, including but not limited to the following:
- Serve as the primary Customer Service Representative and screen all incoming calls.
- Processing all types of claims for the Annuity Fund, Additional Security Benefits Fund, Health Reimbursement Plan, Vacation, Holiday Unemployment Plan, and the Employer Portion of the Deferred Salary Plan.
- Checks claims for account balance, proper documentation, and general eligibility. All claims are keyed in by the processor online.
- Accepting the daily check runs from IT, checking for errors and having checks signed to prepare. for mailing.
- Sorting and distributing mail for all areas of the Annuity Department.
- Handles all customer service calls (high volume) in addition to assisting members in reception area.
- May perform other related clerical duties.

This would require the ability to lift files, pull files/forms/books, stand, bending, shred documents, open/close filing cabinets as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time onsite 35 hours per week– Non-Exempt (OPEIU Local 153) position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:30AM-4:30PM.
Flexibility: Must be able to work overtime when necessary.
Travel: No travel is expected for this position.
