Objective
The Joint Industry Board is seeking an experienced IT professional to develop programs and reports in a mixed mainframe/distributed systems environment, perform troubleshooting, validation and data analysis and assist with migration and/or recreation of mainframe data and reports to a third-party application, as well as a distributed systems environment.
The Platform Migration Programmer will be required to evaluate, make sound judgment, and recommendation to the Assistant Director of IT/CTO.
Essential Functions
- · Analyze programs and reports on the mainframe for migration to distributed systems.
- · Assist with the migration and optimization of legacy applications and the data to the distributed systems platform.
- · Re-create and validate the legacy reports to a distributed systems platform using a combination of programming and/or reporting tools.
- · Perform troubleshooting, system testing validation and data analysis.
- · Learn and become a subject matter expert in third-party vendor applications.
- · Migrating and modernizing workloads from mainframe environments to Windows/Linux systems or the cloud.
- · Ensure source code and application changes are promoted into Production environment by following designated Change Management processes and controls.
- · Ensure application documents comply with IT Policies, Procedures, Authorization and Controls prior to promotion to any production environment.
- · Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment
This job operates in the information technology department of a professional office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop computers, phone, headset, scanner, printer, keyboard, photocopiers, shredder and fax.

This job requires walking to other departments to meet with end users in order to troubleshoot; moving or lifting IT equipment to business units or to correct technical problems.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.—must be flexible and available as necessary. Potential Conversion to Hybrid - Two Days Remote and 3 Days In Person. Weekends or on-call work may occasionally be required.
