What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asphalt Sealing Superintendent position at Joint Sealing?
St. Louis sealing company is currently seeking a superintendent to lead field operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Quality control checks
· Job costing
· Checking with project manager for daily schedules
· Approval of job completion
· Planning/organizing upcoming jobs
· Journal of daily activity
· Ensuring effective/productive workdays
· Communicating with inspectors, foremen, and project manager concerning job matters
· Verifying proper safety measures are in place
· Effective but respectful communication with those on the job site
· Material gathering for projects
· Being one step ahead of the crews to ensure peak production
· Measuring pavement
· Truck cleanliness and professional appearance
· Communicating change orders to project manager (if applicable)
· Checking inventory versus daily use for end of month
· Month overview of upcoming jobs
· Assisting where needed to complete projects on time
· Making sure the crews have what is needed to be successful
· Trucks & equipment hour tracking
· Equipment troubleshooting
· Weekly toolbox talks with the crew
· Having a professional attitude and respecting others
· Providing solutions to daily challenges
· Keeping track of our monthly budget and making changes when needed to ensure the budget is met
· Paperwork completed and accurate with photos
· Be determined and encourage a good work environment
This position has occasional traveling out of town which will be required. Prior concrete/ joint sealing experience is preferred. Position provides ample opportunity for growth. Must have a clean driving record to be eligible.
Salary: $70,000-$80,000.00 and is based upon experience. A benefit package will be negotiated upon hire.
