Students are tutored at a designated site off campus.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Tutor elementary and middle school aged students in Reading and Math.2. Travel to local elementary schools, local libraries, or other local off campus facility.3. Perform related duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS1. Must be eligible for federal work-study2. GPA of 2.5 or above3. Enrolled in 6 credit hours toward your declared major at JJC4. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.5. Enjoys working with children6. Reliable transportation / possess valid driver's license7. Must attend a training sessionPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS1. English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.2. Demonstrated multicultural competence.Scheduled Weekly Hours : This is a student employee position that works around your class schedule. May work up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters.
