Salary Range : $80,000 DOQ

Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Finance, the IT and Network Manager is responsible for overseeing, handling, and directing the day-to-day operations of the IT Department. The IT and Network Manager will ensure the appropriate controls are in place for the security of information assets ensuring all security policies, procedures, guidelines, standards and activities align with all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.

- Oversee, manage and direct the IT team
- Oversee and manage IT work order tickets to ensure timely resolution
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve complex issues
- Report all outstanding or major system related issues to Director or Finance in a timely manner
- Develop new network troubleshooting strategies to decrease maintenance costs
- Create strategies for upgrading the company’s network software whenever a new update is available
- Construct and implement plans to ensure the company’s network continues to operate smoothly
- Work closely with other department Managers to assess the growth needs and maintenance of the company’s network
- Identify technology and network needs / improvements and updates and make recommendations to Director of Finance
- Evaluate the company’s adherence to federal and state technology requirements for security
- Maintain company hardware and software programs
- Research, locate and update technological equipment and software within the Park District
- Manage information technology and computer systems throughout the Park District
- Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
- Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
- Be proactive and identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
- Audit systems for vulnerability and assess their outcomes
- Preserve assets, information security and control structures
- Handle annual IT budget and ensure cost effectiveness
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of relevant hardware and software applications
- Oversee and manage IT projects in according to business needs and budget restrictions, including system updates and migrations
- Create and implement the organization’s IT policy and best practice manuals
- Establish network connectivity of all servers, workstations, firewalls, IP Phones, and other network devices.
- Support and manage the Park District’s wired and wireless network infrastructure to maintain reliable operation
- Maintain documentation regarding network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records
- Monitor logs, activities, and network traffic for suspicious behavior and remediate as necessary
- Responsible for installing and configuring of all network equipment (ie switches, routers, load balancers, network security devices, access points, etc) throughout the Park District
Hours
Full time, exempt. May include days, evenings, holidays, and weekends. This position will need to be available for limited on-call and after-hours support as needed.

Work Environment
Employee’s general work area indoors is a smoke-free environment with controlled temperature and fluorescent lighting. Employee may be exposed to noise distractions from employees or equipment operation in adjacent work areas. Employee may be required to work during various weather conditions, including cold and hot temperatures. Required to work extra hours to accomplish and complete high volume of work.
