Salary Range : $15.00-$17.00
Reports to : SRJC Recreation Superintendent
Date : January 2025
Summary
Under the direction and supervision of the SRJC Superintendent, the program leader is responsible for implementing program plans, and the supervision and safety of participants in special recreation programs.

- Follow SRJC / Joliet Park District policies and procedures
- Responsible for the supervision and safety of the individuals in the program
- Ability to adapt activities and appropriately interact with adults with disabilities
- Assist in providing appropriate communication to participants and parents
- Assist individuals with daily living skills
- Ability to implement program plans
- Complete program evaluations at the end of the program and submit to supervisor
- Actively participate in program activities, which may include swimming, sports, fitness, and arts and crafts
- Maintain program supplies and equipment
- May drive 15 passenger van as needed
Hours
This is a part-time position. Hours vary depending on programs and may include days, nights and / or weekends.

Participants in the SRJC Program
Work environment
This job will be performed indoors in a temperature controlled setting. At times, job tasks will include participating outdoors with varying weather conditions. Work environment may be loud at times.
