Job Summary: As an Events Production Assistant, you will support the events and production team in organizing, coordinating, and executing various events. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that all aspects of event production run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll work closely with our events manager and other Jomboy Media employees to ensure successful events from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Preparation: Assist in the planning and preparation of events, including setup, organization of material, and any prep work involved for each event.
- On-Site Support: Provide on-site assistance during events, including setup, coordination of activities, check-in process, customer service, technical support, etc.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative duties such as managing inventory of event supplies, handling RSVPs and managing guest lists, coordinating with guests regarding event details and special requests, etc.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with events and production teams to execute event plans, including coordinating with team members and external partners.
- Post-Event Tasks: Assist in post-event activities, including teardown, inventory management, and debriefing sessions to evaluate event success and areas for improvement.
- All Employees of Jomboy Media are asked to support key events such as the Warehouse Games, Community Events, and other special events as needed. This may include working out of the NJ warehouse or working occasional evenings or weekends.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in event production or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Heavy lifting with items frequently weighing over 50 pounds required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Flexibility: Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings, early mornings, and weekends, as needed for events.
- Community: Sports minded with the ability to connect and converse with Jomboy Media’s community and fans.
- A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
- Comfortable driving a sprinter van for events as needed.

- Sunday, December 8th - 6:00 am - 2:00 pm
Additional days will be needed in October for Talkin’ Yanks playoff events

Compensation:
$25-40 per hour. The range below represents the low and high end of the hourly rate someone in this role may earn. The hourly rate offered to the selected candidate will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. Pay decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire. This is an hourly, contract position.
