We are currently seeking full-time, compassionate, caring, reliable, and responsible non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) drivers to join our team. As a driver, you will safely transport members to and from medical appointments (e.g., hospitals, dialysis centers, physical therapy, cancer treatment centers) in a secure, professional, and courteous manner.
Job Responsibilities:
- Safely transport clients to medical appointments, treatments, and dialysis using company vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch to update schedule progress and receive instructions.
- Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with clients and coworkers.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and ensure cleanliness of the vehicle.
- Assist clients as needed with entering and exiting the vehicle and escort them to/from destinations.
- Operate GPS on your phone and utilize the transportation app provided.
- Follow company policies and perform additional tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport passengers to their destinations according to scheduled routes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe vehicle.
- Assist passengers with luggage or other needs when necessary.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all clients.
- Effectively communicate with dispatch or supervisors.
Driver Qualifications:
- Previous customer service experience is required, demonstrating a caring and timely approach to assisting clients.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with no suspensions.
- Availability to work varying shifts, Monday through Friday, from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Strong work ethic with a reliable and punctual track record.
- Ability to assist passengers on and off the vehicle as needed.
- Good communication skills with dispatchers and supervisors.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience as a delivery driver, commercial driver, school bus driver, or bus driver is preferred.
- Ability to maintain a clean driving record and operate large vehicles.
- Comfortable with physical labor, including heavy lifting.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with passengers and clients.
Other Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Clean driving record in Maryland or Washington, D.C. is required.
- Ability to provide a certified 5-year driving record (can be obtained from your local Motor Vehicle Authority or printed at our facility for a small fee).
- Must pass driver training and certification.
- Must submit to drug testing and an extensive criminal background check.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
