Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Transport Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers and goods while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle various driving situations, including paratransit services, delivery routes, and school bus driving.
Duties
- Safely operate vehicles including vans, limousines, and buses to transport passengers or goods to designated locations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding schedules, routes, and any issues that may arise during transport.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met.
- Assist with heavy lifting of packages or equipment as needed during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Previous experience in paratransit, van driving, limousine services, or school bus driving is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for deliveries or assisting passengers.
- Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns is an advantage.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
