Job Description
Jomsvikings Protection and Security is seeking dedicated and professional Armed Security Officers to join our team in Wisconsin. The primary role of the Armed Security Officer is to ensure the safety and security of our retail clients' premises and assets. This position requires vigilance, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Responsibilities:
- Patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons on contract client sites
- Prevent unauthorized access and report any suspicious activities or security breaches
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
- Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Prepare and submit detailed daily activity reports and incident reports
- Follow all company policies and procedures, and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
- Assist with emergency situations and provide first aid or other assistance as required
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency personnel as necessary
Qualifications
- Must have a Private Security Person Credential from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS)
- Must have a current Armed Security Officer Credential from WI DSPS
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Prior security or related experience preferred
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Basic computer skills for report writing and communication
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable transportation to and from work locations
- Must pass a background check
