Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is an on-site role, Monday - Friday. 

Shifts are 7:30 – 4:00, 8:00 – 4:40, 8:30 – 5:00. However is based on business/client needs. After-hours work may happen on occasion.

Sr. Information Technology Manager

 Job Summary: 

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for overseeing a slew of daily operation activities of the IT department, ensuring that the company's technology infrastructure is running smoothly and efficiently. This role involves coordinating with various departments to address their technical needs, managing IT support requests, maintaining hardware and software systems, and assisting in the implementation of IT projects. The IT Support Specialist will also work closely with IT vendors and service providers to ensure optimal performance and security of IT resources.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Computer Equipment Purchase/Set-up/Maintain

  • Specify and purchase suitable computer equipment for staff
  • Install Software/configure/maintain for users
  • Move Users and associated equipment to new offices/spaces as required
  • Support Warehouse Shipping special software/hardware
  • Specify and purchase suitable wireless access equipment for the Warehouse barcoding project using third party contractors as required

 On-site IT Support/LAN Admin

  • Maintain All Network Equipment for Computer and Phone Connectivity
  • Liaise with third party contractors to ensure connectivity within the offices and remote user 
  • Install new hardware/software as required
  • Ensure Servers are up and available for local and remote users, communicate with third party contractors as required
  • Configure/Connect Switches/Wireless devices 
  • Ensure Backup tapes are changed, assist with backup of servers with third party consultants
  • Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems

NetSuite System Admin

  • Set-up/maintain All user access 
  • Modify transaction forms as required
  • Keep Master Record Data up to date with changes/updates as required
  • Point of contact for all NetSuite user issues - Investigate/resolve issues using third party support as required

 Report Writing and Data Conversion

  • Assist in the set-up of NetSuite saved searches and reports for users
  • Set-up ODBC access to NetSuite data to allow for better access to NetSuite data for reporting
  • Responsible for successful data migration to any platform that is implemented by Jon Renau

Regular Tasks

  • Oversee the daily performance of computer systems.
  • Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities.
  • Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
  • Maintains communication systems performance by monitoring performance; correcting error conditions; balancing systems resources.
  • Prepares users by developing and conducting training programs; measuring and approving trainee's progress.
  • Increases efficient use of equipment and software by developing and conducting hardware and system software training for clients.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Maintains continuity of work operations by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Guides user actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating procedures and guidelines.
  • Accomplishes department and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Training and Teaching Others

  • Prepares system operators by developing and conducting training programs; measuring and approving trainee's progress
  • Conduct bi-weekly continuous training for all personnel
  • Provide technical computer training
  • Train workers in use of computer and related equipment
  • Train workers in use of equipment

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Must have an extensive background in computer hardware and software and an ability to translate computer requirements into appropriate support programs.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ Technical experience is required
  • Requires effective written and oral communication skills necessary for maintaining strong relationships with all levels of management 
  • Problem-solving skills are essential.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work within a team and independently

 Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate organizational, self-management and time management skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines 

 Work authorization/Security Clearance:

Must be eligible to work in the United States of America
