What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Litigation Paralegal - Experienced position at Jon Webster Law Group, APC?
We are seeking a Civil Litigation Paralegal with a minimum 5 years of drafting, calendaring and filing pleadings and discovery to become a part of our small team! We practice education, employment, real property, wills & trust and general civil litigation in state and federal courts throughout California.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent, quality legal research to prepare complaints, answers and motions
- Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal pleadings and discovery
- Interview clients, witnesses and investigate facts to aid in the prosecution or defense of civil actions and settlements
- Proactively monitor case status and the calendaring of hearings, motions and meetings.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of four years of demonstrated success as a litigation paralegal
- Demonstrable success in legal research using Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis and AI
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented a must
- Ability to empathize with people facing a legal challenge
Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
