We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installer to join our team. As a Flooring Installer, you will be responsible for installing different types of flooring materials in residential and commercial settings.
Responsibilities
- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit specific areas accurately.
- Install various types of flooring, including tile, hardwood, laminate, and carpet.
- Prepare surfaces for installation by removing old flooring and ensuring the area is clean and level.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during installation processes.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine layout specifications.
- Perform trim carpentry tasks as needed to ensure a polished finish around edges and corners.
- Conduct water damage restoration as necessary to prepare areas for new flooring installation.
- Buff and finish floors as required to achieve desired aesthetics and durability.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service throughout the installation process.
Requirements
- Proven experience in flooring installation or related fields such as maintenance person services or construction.
- Proficiency in using both power tools and hand tools relevant to flooring installation.
- Knowledge of tile laying techniques and best practices for various flooring materials.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy materials.
- A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
