Job Summary:
The Dump Truck Driver Class A is responsible for operating heavy-duty trucks for transporting materials to and from project sites.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operates and maneuvers Class A dump trucks to transport construction materials between sites.
- Loads and unloads materials efficiently, ensuring proper distribution and securing of the load.
- Adheres to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the dump truck.
- Conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle's safety and report any issues promptly.
- Maintains effective communication with construction site supervisors and other team members to coordinate material deliveries and pickups.
- Performs routine maintenance on the dump truck, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and ensuring overall vehicle functionality.
- Keeps accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and any incidents that may occur during transportation.
- Addresses and resolves any issues that may arise during transportation, such as traffic delays or mechanical problems, while keeping supervisors informed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of experience as a Class A dump truck driver in a construction or related industry required.
- Must possess a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Visual acuity to follow hand signals, maintain logs, and inspect and maintain machinery.
- Active, physical work involving occasionally; lifting (50 lbs), carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching.
- Frequently walking, standing, and driving and operating equipment for extended periods of time.
- Requires focus adjustment, depth perception, clear close & distant vision.
- Requires regular use of hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
- Requires regular use of eyes, shoulders & neck to monitor vehicle mirrors & back-up camera.
- Must be able to work in all weather types, including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
