As we expand our services, we are seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role will involve working closely with our civil engineering professionals to design and implement electrical systems for infrastructure projects, including water, wastewater, public utility systems, and commercial buildings.
Position Overview:
As an Electrical Engineer at our firm, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing electrical systems that support a variety of civil infrastructure projects. These projects may include water and wastewater treatment plants, public utilities, and other essential infrastructure. You will collaborate with civil engineers and other project stakeholders to ensure that the electrical designs are seamlessly integrated into the overall project scope.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical calculations and prepare design documents, including plans, specifications, and schematics.
- Manage electrical aspects of projects from conception through completion, including scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
- Design, develop, and implement SCADA systems for infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater treatment plants, transportation systems, and public utilities.
- Collaborate with civil engineering teams to integrate electrical and SCADA systems into infrastructure designs.
- Develop control strategies and logic diagrams for automation and monitoring systems.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, start-up, and maintenance of electrical systems, including troubleshooting and technical support.
- Conduct site inspections when required and provide technical guidance to construction teams.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in electrical engineering.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, local codes, and safety regulations in all electrical designs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical engineering
- Experience with control systems, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), RTUs (Remote Terminal Units), and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) software.
- Familiarity with electrical codes, industry standards, and best practices in infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in SCADA system design, configuration, and programming.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or other electrical design software is preferred.
