Description
At Jones Edmunds, the Entry Level Engineer(Engineer Intern) applies engineering education to perform fundamental tasks while developing additional knowledge, experience, and skills in a specific practice area. The Engineering Intern applies engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks as part of a broad assignment. This position requires the exercise of judgment on details of work and in the application of standard engineering methods for conventional work.
Essential Job Functions :
Technical Responsibility
- Perform fundamental design and modeling tasks and assist in preparing permit applications, CAD, or GIS work.
- Evaluate, select, and apply appropriate engineering techniques to assigned work.
- Participate in data research, collection, and compilation efforts.
- Analyze and correlate scientific and engineering data and recognize discrepancies in results using a series of related detailed steps or processes.
- Assist in preparation of reports, studies, and technical memoranda.
- Engage in continuing professional development.
