We're hiring a Line Lead Operator for 1st shift!
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform and/or oversee any duties necessary to ensure maximum production, efficiency, safety, and quality products are produced in the department.
- Check for any calls or notices of associates not coming in. Make arrangements to staff that position.
- Check run sheet and make sure the line is set up to run the proper product. Document runtime on needle boards on .
- Make sure that all the associates are on the job and wearing proper PPE. Be the leader of safety on your shift.
- Witness or perform your own quality checks.
- Keep in constant communication with all personnel.
- Complete plant walk through several times throughout the shift.
- Report to maintenance any machine problems.
- Complete a Production Downtime Report each shift.
- Complete an Incident Investigation Report when incidents, accidents, or hazards occur.
- Provide leadership and direction to the safety of all employees and visitors to the facility
- Lead, coach and mentor a crew in meeting safety, quality and production goals
- Develop crew members for improving individual and organization performance
- Lead performance management and corrective action processes for assigned crew
- Continuously improve plant performance through process improvements and lean methodologies
- Maintain our positive employee relations and employee engagement
- Work with Scheduling to optimize production requirements
- Work with upstream and downstream people and processes to meet customer expectations
- Lead, track and improve performance on key location goals and objectives
- Practice and uphold the rules and guidelines of this plant and the company.
- Make sure the plant is clean and set up for the next shift.
Job Requirements:
The background and experience requirements for this position are as follows:
- Minimum of 2-3 years verifiable mechanical/lead experience working in a fast pace, high-pressure, production environment.
- Demonstrated success in measuring and improving production processes to meet organization goals and objectives
- Demonstrated experience in leading positive employee relations
- Willingness to work long hours as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate with others and work as a team.
- Knowledgeable at maintaining accurate employee documentation and files.
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing requirements including passing drug/alcohol screening and E-Verify screening
- HS Diploma/GED preferred
