Job Summary
This position is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and completing all shipments of finished product to and from a Finished Goods Warehouse. Candidate(s) must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, shipping orders, and packaging requirements. Candidate(s) must have ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently operating a forklift. Candidate(s) must have the following computer skills: MS Office including: Word, Excel, Email, Data entry skills into a DOS based system.
Specific Job Responsibilities
This successful candidate will have the following responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Maintains business relationship with freight companies in order to be knowledgeable of services and related charges UPS, FedEx courier service liaison and coordinate shipments for all small packages
- Schedule truck lines for shipments to meet customer request
- Check truck line pricing for cost effectiveness
- Monitor packaging supplies (more info required)
- Coordinate and complete shipping of Product sample requests in a timely manner
- Works closely with customer service to ensure complete on-time shipments as scheduled
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift
- Enter product pallet information into the computer system to generate shipping documents (etc. Labels, Packing List, Bill of Lading)
- Inspect all incoming finished goods to ensure proper identification and correct labeling
- Advise supervisor of potential safety, quality, and productivity issues
- Maintain acceptable levels of safety, quality, and production
- Any other duties as requested by management
- Qualifications and Requirements
- Must have prior Warehouse work experience , 3 to 5 years of previous experience in leading and performing all the functions in a Shipping/Receiving Warehouse operation
- Must have prior experience operating a Forklift
- Must have basic Personal Computer Skills – familiarity with MS Word, Excel, email
- Must be Self-Motivated - ability to be productive without direct supervision
- Must be Highly Organized (able to prioritize several tasks at once)

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
