Up to $5,000 Sign-On Bonus Shift : 12-hour shift, 4 / 3 schedule What this job involves - The Maintenance Electrician will complete work orders, preventive maintenance and repairs all electrical-related items inside of distribution center. This will include hands-on work to complete the necessary work within Jones Lang LaSalle standards and guidelines. What is the day to day? Electrical Installation : Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with local, state, and national electrical codes. Troubleshooting and Repair : Inspecting electrical systems, identifying issues, and conducting diagnostic tests to determine the cause of electrical problems. Repairing or replacing faulty electrical components, such as circuit breakers, switches, outlets, and wiring. Wiring and Circuitry : Planning and executing electrical wiring layouts for commercial, residential, and industrial projects. Ensuring proper grounding and circuitry to minimize electrical hazards. Electrical Maintenance : Performing routine maintenance to ensure electrical systems are operating efficiently and safely. This may include inspecting and testing electrical equipment, cleaning electrical components, and lubricating moving parts. Safety Compliance : Following safety protocols and utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment. Adhering to electrical code regulations and maintaining proper documentation of electrical installations and repairs. Reading Blueprints and Technical Diagrams : Interpreting construction plans, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications to execute electrical installations accurately. Upgrading Electrical Systems : Advising clients or employers on the need for upgrading electrical systems to meet current standards and energy-efficiency requirements. Collaboration : Collaborating with construction teams, architects, project managers, and other trades professionals to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the overall project. Customer Service : Communicating effectively with clients or building occupants, addressing their electrical concerns, and providing exceptional customer service. Required : Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings 2 years of experience working in a commercial and / or industrial environment Must be capable of working in a team environment, working alone or with other trades outside of your own individual trade.
