Load Management Specialist

Brief Description:

The Load Management Specialist oversees load status and Yak Driver compliance and execution for our carrier base on all loads hauled for United Rentals. This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the responsibilities and requirements for the role of Load Management Specialist. New duties and responsibilities may arise as we are a rapidly growing company and adaptability is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

· Track pick up and delivery schedules for loads scheduled

· Ensure proper paperwork is in order in a timely manner

· Timely responses to customer inquiries and concerns

· Timely responses to operations inquiries and concerns

· Ensure carriers are utilizing The Yak Driver App

· Manage and help maintain carrier relationships

· Navigate Jones’ proprietary software

· Build relationships with internal departments to ensure client transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.

· Continuously assessing and improving the load status process

· Adjust load plans as needed to account for unexpected issues

· Ability to fully engage in learning the logistics industry, market, and business

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.

· Previous supply chain experience, but not required.

· Computer literate and proficient in MS Office required.

· Ability to communicate effectively over the phone and email.

· Time-management skills

· Self-motivation and ability to multi-task.

· Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.

· High attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to work under pressure and comfortable dealing with regular situational ambiguity.

· Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

· Ability to work in office 7-5 Monday – Friday.
