Millwright Overview
The mission of the Jones Lumber Millwright team is to create value by safely troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on all equipment maximizing uptime, quality, and productivity. This is accomplished by a thorough understanding of safe work practices and the troubleshooting and maintenance of all mill equipment.

Millwright Overview
The mission of the Jones Lumber Millwright team is to create value by safely troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on all equipment maximizing uptime, quality, and productivity. This is accomplished by a thorough understanding of safe work practices and the troubleshooting and maintenance of all mill equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform Preventative Maintenance as scheduled
- Install, Transfer or Repair machinery with the proper tools and equipment
- Routinely inspect Mill machinery to ensure that it is in proper running order
- Report any unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor with a plan to repair or replace
- Follow all area and machine specific safety regulations and wear all required personal protective equipment
- Follow all other safety regulation as set forth by company
- Complete all daily reports as assigned by supervisor
- Additional tasks as they are assigned by members of management.

- 3 – 5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of tools and machines, including their designs and uses
- Welding and Fabrication experience
- Rolling Stock Equipment experience (Recommended)
- Proven Problem-Solving skills
- Enthusiasm for being part of a team and working in a team-oriented environment
- Self-motivated and forward thinking, resourceful and willing to take initiative
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; energetic and driven
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs
- Ability to exert muscle force in repeated or continuous motion for long periods
- Ability to stand for an extended period of time
