Responsibilities of the Collections and Billing Specialist:

- Have a thorough knowledge of firm's billing policies and procedures

- Manage all electronic billing for clients

- Maintain billing reports for management

- Generate and process bills, ensuring accuracy of billing information

- Manage all communication with attorneys to ensure billing deadlines

- Work with attorneys to review, edit and finalize bills

- Manage approval for write-offs and monthly exemptions

- Submit and process invoices via electronic and web-based billing

- Resolve any billing issues via electronic and web-based billing

- Any additional duties as assigned

Requirements of the Collections and Billing Specialist:

- Must have at least 3-5 years of experience in legal billing role

- E-billing experience is a must

- Must have a thorough understanding of billing policies and procedures

- Good written and oral communication skills

- Tech savvy and proficient with MS Office Suite, including Aderant

- Experience with Prebill Manager and/or ARCS software is a plus

- Organized, excellent attention to detail and strong at multitasking

- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast paced environment

- Ability to prioritize tasks according to importance

- Excellent talent for interacting with people in a positive and courteous manner

- Dependable, punctual, accurate

Compensation and Benefits for the Collections and Billing Specialist:

- Approximately $48,000 - $65,000/annually, depending on experience
