Jones Petrie Rafinski (JPR), a dynamic provider of A&E services in South Bend, Fort Wayne, and Goshen, Indiana, is seeking a practice lead in Water Resources. As a multi-disciplined firm, we offer our professionals a broad variety of challenging assignments. The candidate will provide leadership, mentoring, and oversight to qualified team members within the Water Resources practice and associated staff from supporting departments.
Project management and oversight of water, wastewater, and stormwater projects with the municipal infrastructure projects is typical. The candidate should also expect to engage in a wide variety of development projects in many settings.
Local project and client assignments across Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan should be expected.

This position requires:
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
Professional Licensure in the state of Indiana is preferred.
Professional Licensure in the state of MI or OH is highly favored.
8 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering preferred.
The candidate should have:
- An ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment while actively promoting a collaborative and innovative culture.
- Experience with managing and working on water/wastewater engineering projects.
- A high level of proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Proficiency in ARC GIS, WaterCAD, and HydroCAD preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.

Responsibilities:
- Manage client relationships.
- Manage all phases of water/wastewater projects including planning, engineering, and construction.
- Develop and manage projects from inception to completion.
- Manage and Mentor team members.
- Provide clear and concise documentation of design approach and implementation.
- Perform analysis and design required for minor structures, systems, and equipment items.
- Prepare sketches and diagrams for use by technicians.
- Review and check detailed drawings and layouts.
- Prepare reports, economic and technical feasibility studies, and studies aimed at evaluating alternative systems, equipment, materials or engineering methods.
- Prepare contract / proposals specifications and construction cost estimates.
- Review Contractor's shop drawing submittal.
- Engage with department leads throughout the firms many practice disciplines.
- Encourage team growth, cohesiveness, and innovation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
