Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of plant operations, including delivery planning and scheduling.
- Oversee the inventory process to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Utilize company systems to manage inventory levels and optimize resource allocation.
- Foster a culture of Lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and improve processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on delivery goals and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Train, mentor, and develop staff to enhance their skills and promote career growth within the organization.
Requirements
- Proven experience in plant management of at least 5 years or a similar role within a transportation/delivery environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory planning and dispatching trucks.
- Familiarity with Inventory software and their application in the transportation processes.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement strategies.
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization and with outside customers.
- Experience in fabricating and assembling products is preferred but not mandatory.
- A Medical Examiner's Certificate is required; CDL license is preferred.
