Cashier/Customer Service

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will handle transactions efficiently while assisting customers with their inquiries and product selections.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance throughout their shopping experience.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement and promote sales.
• Assist customers in locating products within the store and provide recommendations as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to ensure a welcoming environment for customers.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
• Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.

Experience

• Previous experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance communication with our diverse customer base.
• Experience with product demos or sales techniques is advantageous but not mandatory.
