Description
A Truck Driver is responsible for transporting merchandise from one location to another. Responsible for checking equipment before and after use. Deliver loads to Jon's stores as scheduled. Unload product at stores. Check product with receivers for accuracy on invoices (except for produce). Responsible for maintaining daily log as per DOT rules. Report for random drug and / or alcohol screen as per DOT rules Maintain assigned equipment in good condition Jon's Marketplace is a drug free workplace
Position Requirements
- While performing the duties of his / her job, the employee is regularly required to drive up to 13 hours considering he / she is observing the Federal hours of service.
- Be able to read and understand maps.
- Be able to lift up to 100 lbs and to pull up to 3,500 lbs with a manual pallet jack.
- Be able to operate power and sit down forklifts.
- Walk frequently as well as talk and hear.
- Have sufficient physical mobility and agility to quickly respond to any road emergency and able to perform a pre-trip and post-trip equipment safety inspection.
- Be able to work in refrigerated areas such as coolers and refrigerated trailers up to 30 minutes.
- Comply with all local, State and Federal Health and Civil code regulations.
- Meet all the physical qualifications required by DOT 391.41.
