The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for an Experienced Wire Design & Install Engineer to the MQ-25 Advanced Team located in Hazelwood, MO.
Boeing is currently hiring for a MQ-25 Electrical Design Engineer located in Hazelwood, MO to be a part of the MQ-25 Electrical & Equipment team.
The MQ-25 Stingray is a new autonomous, unmanned carrier based refueling air vehicle. The selected engineer will be a part of aviation history by helping our Navy customer productization Autonomous Carrier landing, takeoff and refueling capabilities. The MQ-25 program is currently building the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) vehicles for the Navy. Additional work is under way for the beginning of the System Demonstration Test Article (SDTA ) and Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) programs for additional vehicles.
The MQ-25 Electrical & Equipment team is responsible for the power architecture & design, electrical equipment technical management, electrical installation design, wire harness design, and integrating avionics and other equipment into the vehicle.
Position Responsibilities
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master 3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

- Work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements
- Analyze and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications
- Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
- Solve problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
- Research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs
- Develop and maintain cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs.
- Analyze results and performs design reviews
