What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Site Director After School Program (Carl Junction Schools) position at Joplin Family YMCA?
Under the direction of the School Plus Director and School Age Services Director, the School Plus Assistant Site Director is responsible to assist the Site Director with the delivery of School Plus Programming in accordance with the guidelines, philosophy and purpose of the school district served and the state licensing requirements. Take daily attendance electronically and/or on weekly attendance sheet. The incumbent is responsible for duties including, but not limited to, supervision of children enrolled in the program, working with participant parents and with the school district(s).

KNOW-HOW:
Incumbent must be at least 18 years of age due to licensing requirements. The Assistant Site Director must be able to pass a background check with the Missouri Department of Early Childhood and Secondary Education (DESE), fingerprinted and receive an eligibility letter from DESE. Incumbent must obtain CPR/First Aid certified within three months of hire and complete 6 hours of training in Child Abuse and Neglect/Childcare related training within three months of hire. The Assistant Site Director much have 12 hours of continuing education hours in child related college courses or childcare trainings annually. Incumbent must have good people relational skills, organizational skills, complete paperwork to standard, meet documentation/report deadlines and telephone skills. Site Assistant Director must attend all School Plus staff meetings. School Plus staff must take a TB test, if deemed necessary by a medical professional and a med exam.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
