JOPLIN GARDENS, located in Joplin, Missouri is currently seeking a Medical Records Specialist to join our team.
Medical Records Specialist Duties and Responsibilities :
- Collects, assembles, checks and files residents’ charts as required
- Ensures records and charts are kept current as required
- Assists in recording all incidents / accidents in accordance to established guidelines
- Participates with other team members in planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care and other patient activities
- Assists in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients
- Retrieves medical records when requested by authorized personnel
- Maintains environmental conditions conducive to the comfort and safety of patients
- Ensures that no records leave the building without the Administrators approval
- Performs other duties as assigned
