Qualifications :
- Must have 60 college hours, have passed the Para Assessment (MEGA), or have completed 20-hour Online Sub Teacher Training;
- Preference will be given to individuals who have a current MO Teacher Certification,
- Substitute Teacher Certification, or previous experience in a K-12 school setting

The Instructional Support Professional works under the direction of assigned teachers to support
student learning in elementary level classrooms. Duties include curriculum support, behavior
modification support, and other duties as assigned. Instructional Support Professionals are
assigned to classrooms based on student enrollment. Individuals serving in this position are
required to transfer classrooms and / or elementary schools as enrollment numbers fluctuate.
Employment is contingent upon enrollment.

Arrive to work and leave work at the time specified by supervisors and attend all required
meetings pertinent to the position.
Maintains accurate records and filing systems for accountability and audit purposes as
required by law and Board policy.
Solve practical problems utilizing math functions as needed to complete job duties.
Read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, and handbooks and apply
to job duties.
Essential Functions :
Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and
guidance of the facilitator and classroom teachers.
Implement instructional strategies developed for students, as directed by Teachers and
Principals.
Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them
to fully participate in activities.
Assist classroom teachers with maintaining student records, preparing lesson materials as
directed by the classroom teacher, and providing direct student support.
Assist in the preparation and display of student work.
Assist classroom teachers with copying items to support teaching.
Provide additional support as needed and directed by teacher and building Principal.
Supervise students at all times.
Utilize technology to assist virtual students.
Communicate clearly with email, phone, etc
Assist with tracking and monitoring virtual students.
Carry out all other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, and
hear. The employee frequently is required to stand or sit. Specific vision abilities required by this
job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The employee must be able to lift
25 pounds.

Conditions and Environment
The individual who holds this position will regularly work in a school environment that is
noisy and active. Occasionally the individual will be required to work outdoors for short
periods of time to perform such tasks as loading and unloading students from district
transportation and supervising recess.
