RV dealership with is looking for a highly qualified Comptroller to oversee the smooth running of the business from a financial perspective and to grow with the business. This position reports directly to the CEO and requires strong management, leadership, and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will manage the accounting teams at both dealerships by establishing proper controls and procedures and ensuring compliance. This position is perfect for a go-getter that possesses strong financial and accounting aptitude and enjoys putting together business strategies for each department and assisting managers with staying on target and reaching their goals. The Comptroller is also responsible for conducting internal control audits, ensuring compliance with legal, financial, and ethical business practices. This high-level manager’s responsibilities will include the following:
· Oversee, guide, supervise, prepare, and internally audit all accounting and financial reporting functions
· Consistently monitor and analyze accounting data to ensure accurate entries and reporting
· Establish and enforce proper accounting mapping, methods, policies, and procedures to ensure uniform reporting between both dealerships that is easy to review and analyze
· Audit monthly company-prepared financial statements for completeness, consistency, accuracy, and compliance before issuing formal approval to close out the month and presenting the financial statements to the CEO for final review and subsequent submission to banking partners
· Ensure that month-end processes are completed by the 5th day of the following month
· Develop and implement strategic and financial planning consisting of an Annual Budget vs Forecast vs. Actual Earnings in monthly reporting increments, and notify the CEO of variances on a monthly basis, their cause, and recommended solutions for improvement of financial performance
· Identify departmental goals, assist with their monitoring, and enforce deliverables
· Reconcile bank accounts and daily transactions to keep an accurate Daily Statement of Cash Flows for both dealerships
· Reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
· Ensure accuracy on all accounting reporting and financials
· Establish and enforce accounting policies and procedures, and ensure strict adherence and compliance
· Take an active role in developing a strategy for both dealerships’ continued financial growth
· Evaluate and manage financial risk
· Ensure that all Accounts Payable and Receivable are recorded, monitored, and aged correctly
· Keep track of titles and lien releases on trade-in units, ensuring timely receipt of both once the units are paid off
· Closely monitor Contracts-in-Transit and enforce timely funding of outstanding contracts by communicating with Business Managers regarding status updates
· Communicate with management regarding the enforcement of policies and procedures, identification of cost-saving measures and areas of opportunity, and holding departmental managers accountable, as it pertains to adhering to the company’s policies and meeting their monthly goals
· Provide other reporting, analyses, budgets, and forecasts as required by management
· Streamline operations where applicable to increase efficiency
· Review and approve payroll for both companies
· Monitor and track inventory aging, provide reports to management on aged units, and identify and propose solutions on the aged inventory reduction
· Present recommendations to management for improved financial performance and expense reductions
· Assist management in meeting financial goals
· Perform detailed financial analysis to identify financial impacts
· Perform cyclical and trend analysis and assist with budget allocation
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
· MBA or CPA preferred, but not required.
· Expert knowledge of accounting and financial analysis required.
· Expert knowledge of dealership journal entries strongly preferred.
· Expert knowledge of Excel and QuickBooks required.
· CDK Lightspeed experience strongly preferred, but not required.
· Superb attention to detail and organizational skills required.
· Strong leadership and management skills required.
- RV/Automotive Dealership experience strongly preferred, but not required.
Ability to commute/relocate:

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
