Classroom Assistant I PT - Piano Accompanist

17-hours per week assistant.

Seeking an Educational Assistant who can accompany the South Jordan Middle School Choirs for daily rehearsals, competitions, and performances and help with classroom organization and management. Choir classes meet in the morning and early afternoon. Scheduling can be flexible week to week as needed.

Required Skills and Availabilities:
Excellent piano playing and accompaniment skills
Ability to watch and follow the conductor while playing piano
Ability to play individual parts on the piano at sight
Available mornings and early afternoon (done by 1:20) 3-4 days a week
Evening availability for concerts approximately four times a year
Comfortable running a rehearsal or sectional if director is not present
Clerical skills such as helping to maintain the choir music library, taking attendance, etc.
Willingness to help students with vocal development

Lane 1 Step 1 ($16.67/Hour) Not Highly Qualified
Lane 2 Step 1 ($17.60/Hour) Associate's degree or 48 semester hours from an accredited college/university; or
Lane 3 Step 1 ($18.59/Hour) Current/Former Licensed Teacher
