What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer Camp host position at JORDANELLE STATE PARK?
Overview
Hosts and Workers are the most visible representatives of Jordanelle State Park (Jordanelle). They are volunteers who temporarily reside on site, performing volunteer service that enhances the safe, educational, and enjoyable experience of Jordanelle park visitors.
Duties
- Duties include providing information and assistance to park visitors,
- Conducting campground checks
- Performing basic maintenance tasks
- Hosts may be asked to assist Jordanelle full-time staff in the event of an emergency.
- Hosts will not perform any law enforcement duties.
- Prior to assignment, prospective hosts will meet with park unit staff to ensure hosts can meet expectations.
- Hosts and Workers agree to provide a minimum of 30 hours per couple per week of service. Single Hosts will provide a minimum of 20 hours per week of service. Hosts and Workers will complete monthly logs and submit them to the Visitor Center
