Position Summary The Events and Sales Manager is revenue driver serving as a primary point of contact for event sales and group dining for The Bazaar by Jos Andrs New York, The Bazaar Bar, Nubeluz and Zaytinya. The Manager will maximize sales opportunities, develop sustainable relationships within target groups and ultimately generate business for the restaurants. The Manager will actively seek out new events business to meet or exceed monthly lead generation and sales goals, and communicate client expectations to the operations teams.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
Event Sales
- Manage sales cycle for on-premises large groups and events from 8 to 150 guests.
- Conduct property site visits highlighting cross-selling opportunities and maximizing revenue inside and outside of regular operating hours.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all restaurant offerings, layouts and operational processes.
- Clearly define guest expectations, anticipate needs, and ask questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Create proposals and contracts for groups and events bookings, exercising a thorough understanding of menu and property logistics.
- Manage contract negotiations, seeking input from legal counsel as necessary.
- Liaise with restaurant operations team for special requests and to communicate all client expectations.
- Create BEOs, coordination of vendors and maintenance of accurate event, payment and customer records in Tripleseat, with support of Events Administrator.
- Ensure accuracy of all guest-facing materials and event records.
- Collect and share client feedback with the management team.
