Requirements :

Summary of Functions : Packaging Trainer is primarily responsible for the development and oversight of the Training and Development of the operators within the Operations Team that includes all lines within the plant. Achieve the goals of production while maintaining consistent quality.

Major Duties and Responsibilities :

Running large machinery and meeting daily goals.

Assist with new training programs and documentation.

Support troubleshooting of machinery

Help in the development or modifications to existing SOP’s as necessary.

Develop and maintain a training matrix that will show who is trained on what equipment or positions and that will identify when refresher training is required.

As part of the training Matrix have sustainable and reliable evidence that training is completed for each position and duty an operator is qualified to perform. Including assisting in audits as necessary.

Daily communication with Maintenance for developments and appropriate work requests to make repairs and / or improve the process.

Routine inspections of all working parts.

Develop and maintaina training program with the MLS system.

Food Safety Requirements / Responsibilities :

Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations

Comply with GMP’s in the plant.

Assist in the maintenance of Food Safety and Quality system.

Organizational Relationships : Position reports to the Packaging Manager with dotted line responsibility to the Packaging Supervisors.

Qualifications :

High School diploma or GED

Minimum of 3 years work experience in similar Packaging Operations

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Must be a team player and ability to work independently

Attention to detail.

Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee will be required to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb stairs.

Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time

Ability to work all shifts as training may require for any second and / or third shift operator needs.

This position will work in the Packaging Operations daily.

The noise level in the manufacturing environment is very loud, ear plugs are provided for safety.
