PRIMARY ROLE
The role of the Safety Manager is to support the company core values with an emphasis on the protection of people, property and the environment. The position has the responsibility for providing leadership and implementation of the safety, health and environmental program both inside and outside the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Safety Manager will provide complete EHS services for Joseph J. Albanese and be responsible for providing for the safe planning, project start up, construction building phases, and identification of EHS program improvements in an effort to ensure world class safety performance.
- Responsible for understanding government, company, and general contractor EHS requirements.
- Responsible that all EHS requirements are met and negotiate any discrepancies to resolution.
- Ability to provide coaching / mentoring to operations personnel, project management, general contractors, and subcontractors on the principles of creating an injury-free culture on all projects.
- Provides assistance to the operations team in the development and successful execution of safe working plans.
- Responsible for conducting general training to project personnel on EHS subjects and provide techniques for mitigating hazards to Joseph J. Albanese employees during all aspects of demolition and construction.
- Review of subcontractor safety programs to ensure alignment with corporate programs, policies and procedures is required.
- Track subcontractor safety performance and work with the project team to effectively manage poor performance.
- Will also support cross-functional EHS teams, taskforces, safety committees, and special projects as needed.
