Allied Concrete is seeking highly skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operators to join our dynamic team. A Crane Operator at Allied Concrete is responsible for operating a Knuckle Boom crane to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment at designated locations. The role requires precision, attention to safety, and adherence to operational guidelines to ensure efficient and secure handling of materials.
Allied Concrete is seeking experienced Crane Operators for our concrete teams in Bozeman, MT. We are looking for workers with experience in the following:
- Conduct daily safety inspections of cranes to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Operate a Knuckle boom crane to lift, move, and position loads as required.
- Thorough knowledge of rigging and hoisting techniques. Familiarity with construction site protocols and safety standards.
- Calculate load capacities and determine the best methods to lift and move loads safely.
- Read and interpret load charts, blueprints, and work orders to determine operational requirements.
- Coordinate with ground personnel to safely guide loads and ensure correct placement.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide clear signals and instructions to riggers and other personnel involved in lifting operations.
- Maintain accurate records of crane operations, including load weights, lift times, and maintenance logs.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid crane operator certification from a recognized authority.
- Knowledge of load management, rigging techniques, and securing methods.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating cranes in a construction or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and operational standards.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and environments.
OTHER:
- Ability to work overtime and Saturdays on an as-needed basis.
- Ability to work on construction projects in both standard and high-risk areas. Construction site work environment – will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs and ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as required.
