Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with case preparation and management for personal injury claims.
- Conduct thorough document review and data entry to ensure accuracy of case files.
- Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines for filing documents.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding case updates and information requests.
- Conduct research on relevant laws and regulations pertaining to personal injury cases.
- Coordinate with medical professionals and other experts for case-related information.
- Utilize Clio software for case management and billing purposes.
- Support project management tasks related to ongoing cases.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in personal injury law.
- Proficiency in Clio or similar legal management software is highly desirable.
- Strong clerical skills with an emphasis on document review and data entry accuracy.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills.
- Familiarity with various areas of law such as securities law, patent law, environmental law, and tribal law regulations is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
