SUPPLY CHAIN DIRECTORThis role is responsible for the development of an end to end (E2E) supply plan that balances all aspects of supply with the demand plan and meets financial, service and operational objectives for the supply chain. This role has functional and direct leadership responsibility for the teams that execute demand planning, supply / inventory and SIOP planning for the respective business line.It requires strong coordination with commercial, product, manufacturing, distribution, transportation and finance teams to create an effective demand plan, and most optimal supply plan to meet customer requirements and achieve required business outcomes.Ultimately, this position is responsible for all aspects of managing the continuous and efficient supply of finished good products to customers at the right cost, with optimal levels of inventory and manufacturing efficiency.Primary KPI accountability for overall Material Availability and its impact on OTIF, Inventory Dollars, Days on Hand, Premium Freight and Vendor Shipping Performance.RESPONSIBILITIES : Oversee the execution of all phases of the SIOP process for the Business LineDevelopment and maintenance each month of the rolling demand forecast for minimum 18 moLeadership for cross functional monthly demand consensus processDevelopment of optimized supply plan to meet customer demand at optimal inventory levelsLeadership for monthly SIOP supply planning & balancing meetingLeadership for reconciliation of demand / supply & required contingency and mitigation plans to address gapsEvaluate financial impact associated with risk, opportunity and end-to-end trade-off decisions related to balancing gaps in demand and supplyLeadership for Sales & Operation Execution (S&OE) activities to manage change inside of SIOP horizonProvide insight and influence into new / existing customer agreements that maximize the balance between service and supply chain operational efficienciesLead supply chain activities related to strategic customer initiativesEnsure continuous and efficient supply of finished goods products to customers thru supply-demand balancing leadershipExecution of standardized supply chain processes, tools and training, including appropriate planning policies & replenishment methodologies to meet AOP inventory planExecute the appropriate supply planning policies by item class (ABCD / XYZ) to meet business line expected demand variation, capacity and material constraintsLead efforts across supply planning, purchasing and the external supply base to deploy most appropriate replenishment methodologies (discrete purchase orders, stocking programs, VMI, etc.) to manage an agile supply chain and meet required business outcomesDrive activities to assess and recommend required internal and external long-term capacity investmentUse continuous improvement techniques to improve the efficiency & effectiveness of the E2E supply chainEducation : Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Engineering or Finance, Master’s Degree PreferredSkills & Experience : Demonstrated knowledge of ERP Systems (SAP preferred)Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and requests, make quick & sound decisions and respond with a sense of urgencyStrong quantitative, cost modeling, and data analysis skillsExcellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills (oral, written and presentation)Change agent with ability to influence and drive supply chain solutions at all levels of the organizationProblem solving experience in reducing total costs, improving processes, and reducing supplier riskAbility to quickly identify deviations from expected results and other disruptions and can promptly resolve any issuesAbility to effectively communicate technical supply chain needs in a clear, concise manner to the businessWorking knowledge and understanding of financial concepts and operational KPIsDemonstrated leadership skills (direct and cross functionally) and excellent relationship managementAbility to coach, develop and lead othersDemonstrated competency in the MS Office Suite of productsSuperior organization, coordination, planning and delegation skillsSuperior process, analytical and problem-solving skills – apply / execute formal techniques (e.g. Kepner Tregoe, 8D), including the ability to teach and coach problem solving techniques10-15 years applicable, progressive supply chain operations and / or purchasing experience; minimum 5 years of formal leadership experienceStrong operations experience with knowledge in capacity, master & production planningDemonstrated experience with multiple material replenishment techniques and purchasing methodologiesStrong negotiation capabilitiesApplied lean manufacturing techniques including value stream mapping, leveling demand, Kanban calculations and techniques is preferredASCM (Association of Supply Chain Management) CPIM certification preferredConsumer Goods / Electronics / Aftermarket experience preferredType : direct hire
