Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Business Development & Customer Relationship Specialist to join our team at our Armonk, NY location! Your role will be pivotal in driving the growth of our boutique by developing and maintaining customer relationships. You'll play a dual role, dividing your time between providing in-store customer service and conducting outreach to prospective clients.

Schedule:

  • This is a hybrid position that will require you to come into the shop 1-2 per week and most importantly be attending events, networking, visiting potential and current clients.

Pay:

  • This is a salary commission job.
  • Annual on target earning with salary and commission first year: $90,000 - $140,000
  • Annual on target earning with salary and commission second year: $100,000 - $175,000
    • Salary is based upon experience $45,000 - $50,000
    • Commission is based upon booking events and contracts

Responsibilities include:

  • Answering phones and assisting clients with their floral needs in-store.
  • Meeting with country clubs, venues, wedding planners, and event planners to secure contracts as the preferred/house florist.
  • Developing new business opportunities with event planners and upscale venues.
  • Maintaining existing customer relationships and fostering loyalty.
  • Tracking client leads and outreach, and maintaining accurate records in our CRM system.

Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in event-related or hospitality industry
  • Must have a valid drivers license and reliable means of transportation
  • 1-2 years of sales and/or business development preferred
  • Experience in a floral industry preferred, but not mandatory
  • A deep passion for flowers and exceptional customer service.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with excellent time management.
  • Willingness to travel locally for client meetings and presentations.
  • Familiarity with CRM software is a plus.
