Driver

Summary

Joseph's Middle East Bakery is seeking a driver to deliver orders to distribution centers, and cold storage facilities. This individual will report to the warehouse manager and the 1st Shift Warehouse Supervisor.

Job Requirements And Duties

• Employee must be able to drive an automictic box truck and have a DOT medical card.
• Employee must be proficient at operating an electric pallet jack.
• Employee must be proficient at operating an electric counterbalanced reach lift.
• Ensure that all product delivered to customers is in good condition and any debris or particulate is cleaned off before it is delivered.
• Ensure that all appropriate paperwork is completed in a detailed and accurate manner.
• Bilingual is preferred.
• Assist the warehouse manager with other duties as assigned.
• Employee must be neat and organized.
• Person must be professional, detail oriented, and able to process information to provide an efficient flow of goods for production.
• Employee must follow all rules and regulations of our HACCP plan.
• Liaising with people at all levels within the organisation
• Effective professional communication skills with all levels of the organization.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Strong command of the written English language
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Count all product being loaded onto your truck to ensure accuracy of counts.
• Load and unload goods onto truck to be transported.
• Document any corrections required on invoices and return all invoices signed.
• Drive goods from one warehouse to another.
• Restacking pallets that are leaning or damaged.
• Divide orders as required at distribution centers.
• Return trays that are required for next day's production to the bakery.
• Employ safe driving practices that comply with DOT rules and regulations.
• Fill out pre and post trip truck inspections.
  
  

Physical/Mental Requirements

Employee should be able to climb a ladder, reach, bend, and frequently lift loads up to 50lbs.

Employee must be able to stand on their feet for prolonged periods at a time, as well as traverse sets of stairs frequently. Employee must be able to pass a DOT physical.

Non-standard Work Schedule, Travel Or Environment Requirements

Shift Position: 8:00am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday

Be available to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation
