We're looking for a dynamic individual to join our growing team as a Project Coordinator & Junior Estimator in Monteagle, TN.
This role combines the best of both worlds - providing coordination support to project managers and helping to develop detailed cost estimates. You'll be at the heart of our construction projects, ensuring both smooth operations and accurate financial tracking, all while maintaining strong communication with internal teams, vendors, and clients
What You'll Do
Project Coordination:
- Assist project managers in organizing workflows, tracking project milestones, and ensuring that all aspects of each project stay on schedule.
- Serve as a key point of contact for team members, contractors, and clients, providing updates, addressing questions, and taking care of tasks as they arise.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion and manage deadlines for each phase of development.
- Coordinate resources, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure projects stay on track.
Estimating & Cost Control:
- Develop accurate cost estimates for residential construction projects, ensuring that each estimate reflects realistic pricing and timelines.
- Help with the preparation of budget breakdowns and track project expenditures, ensuring projects stay within financial constraints.
- Evaluate project feasibility, assessing both cost and timeline to ensure the project's viability and profitability.
- Support the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects, working with senior estimators and project managers to refine cost estimates.
What We're Looking For
Experience & Skills:
- At least 1-2 years of experience in construction project coordination, estimating, or a similar role.
- Proficiency with software tools like Microsoft Excel, MS Project, and cost-estimating platforms (e.g., JobTread).
- Proficiency in Buildertrend or a strong desire to learn and develop proficiency with this platform under the guidance of experienced team members.
