Busser/Food Runner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and with exceptional service. This position requires a passion for the food industry, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to create an outstanding dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately.
• Assist servers by ensuring that all necessary items are available for each table, including utensils, condiments, and drinks.
• Maintain cleanliness in the dining area by clearing plates, glasses, and utensils promptly after guests finish their meals.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and presentation of dishes.
• Help set up and break down dining areas before and after service.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing any guest inquiries or needs promptly.
• Uphold health and safety standards in food handling and cleanliness throughout the restaurant.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the food service or hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to help others, including bussing tables and supporting kitchen staff as needed.
• Knowledge of basic food safety practices is a plus.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift items as needed in a busy restaurant setting.
