Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Deli Associate to join our team. As a Deli Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving deli products, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Duties:
- Ensure food safety standards are followed at all times
- Assist customers in selecting deli items and provide recommendations
- Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and workstations
- Receive and stock inventory as needed
- Follow proper portion control guidelines
- Upsell additional products or promotions to customers
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not required
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
