POSITION: Special Education Teacher - *Anticipated 2025/26 School Year Opening
QUALIFICATIONS:
- NH teacher certification in General Special Education or proof of eligibility for NH certification
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Classroom experience or prior work with children preferred
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
JOB SUMMARY: To provide students with an educational program that provides for their intellectual, academic, and social/emotional growth to reach their full potential.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and deliver instruction based upon curriculum, collaboration with general educators and related service providers, to meet student needs.
- Demonstrate knowledge of all content areas and child development.
- Provide specialized instruction, modifications, and accommodations to support student success.
- Use data to monitor progress of students towards established goals and learning standards.
- Manage and accurately document IEP processes and implementation.
- Create an environment of respect and rapport that establishes a culture of learning among students and staff.
- Manage classroom procedures and student behavior in a positive manner.
- Communicate with students and their families professionally.
- Participate and collaborate in the professional community, growing professionally, reflecting on teaching and demonstrating professionalism.
- Supervise and support paraprofessional staff in collaboration with instructional teams.
- Follow District policies and procedures.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the building principal.
EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated by the building principal in accordance with District evaluation procedures.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: In accordance with the Bartlett Education Association (BEA) contract.
