Qualifications
- Must be an individual in agreement with White's Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, and Code of Conduct.
- At least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of maintenance experience required.
- Must hold a Class 3 or Universal EPA refrigeration license.
- Proficient in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work.
- Must be willing to obtain WT2 and DSS licenses from IDEM (if not already certified).
- Must be skilled in the use of various hand tools, plumbing, and electrical tools and various pieces of power equipment.
- Must be a team player. This person needs to enjoy working closely with other staff members and have the ability to be flexible, adaptive, and positive in his/her interactions.
- Must work well under limited supervision.
- Must be able to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
- Must be committed to the Mission of Josiah White’s.
- Perform all routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repair on HVAC equipment, commercial cooking equipment, and refrigeration equipment.
- Weigh and record all refrigerants installed or removed from equipment. Accurate records required by EPA.
- Perform maintenance and repair of the facility and equipment to include mechanical, plumbing, etc. as directed by the supervisor
- Complete any other tasks assigned by the maintenance supervisor.
- Keep the shop area clean.
- Normal work hours are as scheduled by supervisor. (7:00 am 3:30 pm)
- Must be able to work every eighth weekend and be on-call as needed during the week.
- Work hours are subject to change at the discretion of the supervisor.
- Work Holidays as scheduled.
- Must attend work regularly and be on time.
